Fun-Raiser: Monday Evening Wine Tasting and Dinner
: This year, WSPHA is hosting an evening wine tasting and dinner event at a local winery. This fun evening for relaxation and rejuvenation includes: Bus transportation to one or more wineries, gourmet light dinner at Silver Lake Winery, wine tasting, and social networking.
Ticket cost is $50/person.
Please note that this cost is *not* included in your JCH Registration, and you must indicate on the registration form whether you will be attending and add $50 to your total to include your ticket cost. Join us! (WSPHA will suggest additional donations at the event to support Advocacy and Professional Development programming.)
Student Stipends:
WSPHA is pleased to offer a limited number of Student Stipends on a first come-first serve basis for students enrolled in an academic program at the time of the Joint Conference on Health (JCH). For details about the stipends and student opportunities at the JCH, please see our
student stipends webpage
. If the scholarship registration option to the left is not showing as "active" (appearing in gray font) in the registration form, it means that the maximum number of spots available for that round have been reached.
The student registration fee will cover a small portion of the actual conference meal costs. WSPHA's stipend will cover the remainder of conference costs (excluding lodging) and includes a full year student membership with WSPHA.
Mentoring Program:
Are you interested in serving as a mentor to emerging public health leaders in our state? In our planning, WSPHA is considering development of a mentoring program intended to address workforce succession. With a large percentage of the public health workforce reaching retirement age, who will be new leaders and catalysts for good public health policy and practice? Details of the program are under development; please indicate your interest on your registration form and we will reach out to you with additional details as they become available.
* Early Bird Registration closes September 15, 2010.
