From our Annual Conference to Legislative Education Day, we look for ways to bring together and strengthen the public health community. Our events give our members and public health supporters the opportunity to learn, connect, and work together to advance the cause of public health.
WSPHA Annual Conference
Formerly known as Joint Conference on Health, this multidisciplinary conference brings together public health professionals from every corner of the state to learn, network, and celebrate our collective efforts to achieve healthier communities in Washington. Learn more about our annual conference.
Public Health Legislative Education Day
Held each January in Olympia, this event gives you a chance to discuss the value of public health with legislators. Participants receive training in how to talk with legislators and learn about current funding and policy proposals with implications for public health. WSPHA celebrates National Public Health Week by recognizing Health Champions—individuals, coalitions and businesses demonstrating excellence in their efforts to improve and protect the public’s health in our state. View the 2015 Health Champions.
WSPHA hosts regular webinars on cross-cutting topics, selected to meet the interests and learning needs of the broad public health community. Recent topics include leadership succession planning, health equity, social media for public health, and legislative session re-cap.
